Kristi Lyn Addis Hickman is a former Miss Teen USA and Mississippi beauty queen who worked for many years in the entertainment industry as a successful model and actress. She won the title of Miss Teen USA in 1987 as Kristi Lyn Addis. She became the first Miss Mississippi Teen USA to place at the Miss Teen USA pageant when she won the title. Kristy remained in school during her year as Miss Teen USA and traveled on weekends and holidays, advocating for Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” program in schools. In high school, she was a point guard on the three-time state championship winning basketball team and was one of Mississippi’s best high school mile runners. She won six national championship twirling titles and was picked to compete in a potential twirling team for the 1984 Summer Olympics and received a part in the television series, The New Gidget. To this day, she remains the only Miss Teen USA pageant winner that is from Mississippi.
Kristi Grew up in Holcomb, Mississippi, a small town 50 miles south of Oxford. At the age of 5, she began her dance and baton twirling training. At 7 years old she won her first national baton twirling championship and went on to win four more national titles by the age of 13. She also continued her dance training for the next 13 years. At 15, she was named Miss Mississippi Teen USA; and the following year, she was crowned Miss Teen USA. She furthered her performance experience as she traveled extensively modeling for companies like Maybelline, Kay Jewelers, Kawasaki and others. She then attended the University of Mississippi on a scholarship as the Featured Twirler for the Pride of the South Marching Band. She also performed on the Rebelette Dance Squad and was voted “Most Beautiful.” She graduated on the Dean’s Honor Roll with a BA in Journalism and was named in the “Who’s Who Among College Students” national publication. She also taught at dance and baton twirling camps throughout the southeast.
After college, Kristi continued her modeling career in Los Angeles filming national and international commercials for Reebok, Sunkist, Ford, and others. Additionally, she appeared in several music videos for MTV and CMT, most notably with ZZ Top. She has appeared on The Today Show, on stage with the legendary Dick Clark from American Bandstand and had a contract with Paramount Pictures. She lived for one year with the reigning Miss Universe Cecilia Bolocco (Miss Chile) and reigning Miss USA Michelle Royer. She has an extensive background in everything from modeling, acting and provided endorsements for many well known brands and organizations.

Kristi eventually chose to make a major life change, and decided to pursue being trained in a faith based women’s ministry. Her goal became helping women find a holistic path to creating a beautiful life that truly lasts. She currently serves as a woman’s ministry leader, an inspirational speaker, a high-energy licensed fitness instructor, a dance instructor, a skin care consultant and an entrepreneur in the interior styling business. For many years now she has taught women how to develop health and wellness for their mind, body, and soul. She has traveled extensively speaking to women across the country and overseas. She is especially passionate about sharing her own personal struggles and guiding women to be an over-comer, even when your “crown” is falling off. Kristi is able to speak about many topics including business ethics, striving for excellence, building great relationships, marriage, parenting, overcoming eating disorders as well as drug and alcohol addiction or abuse issues. Kristi recently appeared in a documentary for iconic diva and singer, Whitney Houston.
