Chase is a musician and music is in his blood. His father, Sherwin Mackintosh, is an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor. His mother, Debbie Mackintosh, is an immensely talented singer/actor. From the beginning, Chase’s life consisted of rehearsals, voice and piano lessons, late nights at the studio, and musical tours around the globe, with faith at the center of it all. During his middle school and high school years, Chase began to take music more seriously, writing songs, spending more time and energy honing his skills, and receiving formal training for voice and piano. He also picked up the guitar at age sixteen, which has proven to be an important step thus far. It was at this stage that Chase realized that he would be a musician for life.
In 2005 he began his college career at the University of Florida, where he studied Vocal Performance at UF’s School of Music. There he received vital training in the areas of music theory, ear training, music pedagogy, and vocal technique. Chase also received Music Education Certification from The College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Chase continues to compose, arrange, and perform, and teaches voice, piano, guitar, and drum lessons. Since 2004, he has performed as a musician at a variety of venues from large corporate events to exclusive private parties. Chase has also performed in musicals such as in West Side Story (Action) in 2007, Tosca (Cesare Angelotti) in 2009, and Upside Down: A Musical Tale After the Christ (as Peter), in St. Louis America’s Center in 2016. Chase and his wife, Sarah, have directed several workshops for churches around the country. They provide training for church members, singers and instrumentalists, offering new song tutorials, biblical worship lessons, church service direction, and more.
Chase sill performs as a musician and multi-instrumentlist with local bands, having gained great experience including formerly performing with a tribute band as Elton John in full costume. He performs for weddings, parties, corporate events, and background instrumental music or songs featuring a lead vocal. Chase is able to speak on various topics from ethics to relationships and more and can even work in a musical performance. A few of his memorable accomplishments are listed below.
