Guy Hammond is the Founder and Executive Director of Strength in Weakness Ministries. He oversees what has now grown to become a global ministry in over 60 countries. Before becoming a Christian in 1987, Guy lived an active homosexual lifestyle for 12 years. He has now been a faithful Christian for almost 3 decades, had been married for over 27 years to his wife Cathy, who sadly passed away after a difficult battle with cancer. They have 4 children. Guy is a best selling author, international speaker, counselor, and still fulfills his role as Executive Director of Strength in Weakness Ministries, educating Christians on how they can successfully share the good news of Christ with their gay friends and neighbors. A full-feature film about his life, Finding Guy, will be released soon, which is sure to be something completely unique as no other film has ever been produced from the viewpoint of a non-judgmental man who has “unwanted” same sex attraction. The Hammond’s have taught over 60,000 people in churches, faith based groups and universities around the world. Being one who personally shares in the journey of those who strive for “strength in weakness,” he founded this unique ministry in 2006 to offer support to Christians who come from a homosexual background but who still live with unwanted same-sex attractions. Outside of the church, Guy has very strong convictions of neither judging nor condemning people who choose to continue living in a gay lifestyle. His ministry also educates Christians on how they can respond graciously to their gay friends and neighbors; holding up the Biblical sexual ethic, while also exuding the love and compassion of Christ and treating people with dignity and respect. Some of Guy’s accomplishments are found below.

Description
Guy lives in Canada and his family is incredibly valuable to him. His wife was a strong supporter and friend and partner in his ministry. He has many supporters who live with a sense of gratitude for the narrow focus of Guy’s teachings and counseling. There is no doubt that there are many who share in grieving his loss and who continue to support his work throughout the world.
With that said, Guy is still very active in his travels throughout the world and assisting others. He understands that his audiences are filled with a mixture of people; some who have same sex attraction and others who simply want to have a biblical perspective on treating people with dignity and respect regardless of their sexual orientation. Unlike others who teach on the subject, he has a unique viewpoint and subject matter expertise as one who still lives with unwanted same sex attraction. He is able to understand and sympathize with others who feel the same way.
